11.13 Other Setups

The KashBird has many other setups.
 

(1) Preview

The preview is shown after the KashBird is just opened.
To enable the preview check [View] - [Realtime Preview]. If the preview is too slow please disable it or disable [Related Photograph Distance] described below.

Preview can be set up by selecting [Setup] - [Preview Setup].
 

(a) Related Photograph Distance

approximates the preview to the real exposure as far as possible according to the distance setting. When the distance is large the ground is represented roughly to spare memory space. If you need detail representation of the ground please uncheck it and follow the manual settings below.
Preview is only possible for the area inside of the maximum distance value for the preview.

(b) Terrain / Detail

This option is valid only when [Related Photograph Distance] is unchecked.
For detail representation of the terrain much memory space is required.

(c) Terrain / Region

This option is valid only when [Related Photograph Distance] is unchecked.
For a wide region representation much memory space is required.
 

(2) Place Name Filter

This option is valid only when [View] - [Place Name Filter] is checked.
This is actually used after exposure.
This option enables to display the place names in certain distance region from the view point selectively. It is useful when too many place names are displayed. This is valid only when the place name is displayed.

After exposure with this option valid a filter panel will come up on the right or left side of the KashBird window. The operation of this window is described below.
 

(a) Width

The region for displaying the place name is specified. This is the width of the distance described below.

(b) Dist

The region for displaying the place name is specified as the distance from the view point. The slider bar can be used for setup.

(c) All

All place names are displayed.
 

(3) Mouse Alt / Dist

This option is valid only when [View] - [Mouse Alt/Dist] is checked.
This is actually used after exposure.
With this option the distance and the altitude of the points, where the mouse pointer is located, are displayed.  By selecting [Move to] from the menu by the right mouse button the KashBird can be moved to that position.

After exposure with this option valid a display panel will come up on the right or left side of the KashBird window. On this panel the altitude and the distance from the view point at the mouse position are displayed.

By selecting [Move to] from the menu by the right mouse button the KashBird can be moved to that position. This is useful for fine adjusting of the KashBird position.
